Our care givers understand the progression of dementia and how important is is for the  person to feel comfortable and safe at all times, especially when they are feeling confused and disorientated. It is crucial that people are treated with empathy, compassion and always with respect.

We understand the importance of engaging with clients and talking about things they can remember which usually means reminiscing about the past and often provokes happy memories, smiles and laughter.

Caring for a loved one with dementia poses many challenges for families and caregivers. People with dementia from conditions such as Alzheimer’s and related diseases have a progressive biological brain disorder that makes it more and more difficult for them to remember things, think clearly, communicate with others, and take care of themselves.

Our caregivers will always keep regular times as routine and familiarity are key to reducing stress. That is why care in the familiar home environment is important to make people with dementia feel safe and secure
